When I see this kind of paintings I just wonder what the story might be behind it.

Why this title? What does the figure to the left represent? Why an angel there? The expresion of the woman in the rosebush throne is of...? Surprise?

I'm guessing this is based on some myth, maybe a medieval King Arthur sort of thing? But it's also interesting when you just interpret a painting with your own imagination, projecting your own subconscious. I bet that's how many stories got written!
